Check out my little mini mule, Otis. He is such a trip.

The minis really keep me laughing. I was so lucky to get the shot. I just happened to have the camera still on from a previous picture.

Hey Jill --- best of luck with the weather & punkins, but I have to say...it looks to me like you live in Nirvana. Absolutely beautiful place. What state are you in (geographically speaking that is)?

I am in the western part of NC and also a state of confusion most of the time. We really love it here. My largest pumpkin is going to a pumpkin weigh off in a couple of weeks. Keeping my fingers crossed that I will at least get in the top three. I was browsing through my newest Southern Living and saw a picutre of the River Walk in San Antonio. The picture is a night shot of Donald Lipski's F.I.S.H. Just one page and no mention of the grotto. The article as actually about different places of intrest or highlights for travel in the south. Donald, if you ever need a cool summer get away, our doors are open.

Hey Jill --- Then I guessed pretty close. I thought your pix looked a lot like the Smokies and western NC. One of the prettiest parts of the country for my money. And for some reason, I just have to ask...anywhere near "Pumpkintown" by any chance?

There actually is a place called "Punkin Center" near here. I am not sure how they came up with that name. It is kind of funny.

You should come to NC sometime and enjoy the scenery. We are getting into the leaf season and after all of the wind we had last week, I am surprised that we still have leaves left. I do love this time of year though. The last warm days before the wind and snow hit.

Jill,

What an enviable life you have. The serenity, ahh. And all the animals. I loved looking over your blog. You must have had fun writing it.

Crystal- I do have a lot of fun with my blog. I just posted a series of pictures of a barn quilt that my husband, Brian and I worked on this winter. Life is always an adventure! I was just re-reading that post I made in October. It is funny because of how much snow we did get! It was a glorious winter, but I am glad to see some sun and warm weather. Thanks for the comment!
