Hi Guys & Gals --- You have to see this video. Real-time animated art done to music using sand on a lightbox. And for you guys...the Ukrainian girl doing it ain't bad to look at either. Amazing.

How cool !! And, though it may have sounded Russian, the last musical section was an adaptation of a Metallica tune .... 'Nothing Else Matters'.

Hi Don,
Thanks for posting this.
First - it is just amazing to watch. Very well done. As a live performance synchronized to music, I think, is just incredible.
Second - it was another nostalgic moment for me. This is love/life story from World War II. First when the couple is sitting on the bench in a park an announcement is played through a loudspeaker - this is real recording of the announcement made over national radio on July 22 1941when USSR was attacked by Nazi Germany and officially entered the war. Then war time and post war time war songs are played as the story unfolds - mobilization, fighting, scared people looking up the sky, a young woman growing old holding a letter (a death notice?), a woman with a child looking at a sailor outside the window (coming back from war or only imaginary?), and the words "You are always nearby" and a year 1945 (end of war) appear. Metallica song at the end ties it up pretty well.
I haven't heard those songs for years, though heard them very often while growing up, it bought tears to my eyes. _________________ Kate |

Hey Kate --- thank you so much for the interpretation. Now I know why so many in the audience were tearing up too. Remarkable...and beautiful. _________________ --- All My Best --- Tango |
